HyunA talked about some of the hateful comments which target toward her.
A press interview was held at Cube Cafe in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul in the afternoon on August 18th. During the interview, HyunA confessed, “When my trailer was first revealed, I couldn’t look up the internet.”
HyunA continued, “People around me told me that my acting ability to show how to have fun is great. However, my producers worried that I might get hurt (by people’s reaction). Even from the beginning of my career, however, I steeled myself that this (sexy concept) is the best way to go.”
She revealed that she didn’t read any article about her because the hateful comments would refrain herself from focusing on her comeback stage. However, when people around her started telling her that the reactions aren’t too bad, she finally had the courage to go on the internet.
HyunA explained how she could overcome her offended mind. She said, “I read the comments on and off.
Sometimes, I intentionally read them to get some feedback. When I read hateful comments, I think of people who love me. I believe my hard work pays off as my fans grow.”
She added, “My parents worry about me, but mostly, they worry about trivial things, like whether I eat well, or if I work out while I’m on a diet.” She continued, “My parents have faith in me. If more people like me, my parents will be happier.”
HyunA’s 5th mini-album <A+> consists of five songs including the title track ‘It’s Because I’m The Best’. The album also includes three songs which HyunA wrote the lyrics for, like ‘Run & Run’, ‘Ice Ice’ and ‘Peace’, and these songs reflect HyunA’s deep sensibility.
The title track ‘It’s Because I’m The Best’ includes addictive melody, strong base, and trendy beat. ‘BTOT’ Ilhoon is the featuring artist of the song who wrote the rap lyrics to show off his loyalty as the same-agency artist.
