The Korean government issued stamps featuring Chung Ju-yung, founder of Korea's largest auto maker Hyundai Motor Company, and Lee Byung-chul, founder of Samsung Group.
The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said, "Among the 12 major entrepreneurs, the two were selected as they have greatly contributed to the national economy."
This year also marks the birth year of Chung who were born 100 years ago and Lee 105 years ago.
Chung has made the auto company become the global business firm with his strong entrepreneurship when the nation's shipbuilding and auto industry were like wasteland decades ago. Lee also laid foundation of the nation's information technology through bold investment.
The government said, "We hope entrepreneurship of the major economic key players who led the national economic growth will again become a new leap forward to the economy."
