Kumho Tire announced on September 8 that it will display 12 new types of tires, including Wattrun, an ultra-light tire for electric cars, at the upcoming 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show which will be held in Germany on September 17-27.
The Wattrun is an ultra-light tire developed by Kumho Tire. The eco-friendly product is developed exclusively for electric vehicles, with its weight 25 percent lower than that of regular tires.
The Wattrun features low noise generation and excellent braking performance on wet road conditions. Kumho Tire also plans to display a self-sealing multi-functional tire Sealant, plus a variety of special-purpose run-flat tires during the exhibition.
Another eye-catching tire which will be displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show is the ECSTA HS51, an ultra-high performance tire which acquired the reddot design award in Germany. Kumho Tire plans to set up its own booth during the motor show and promote its brand name and products by installing large-sized LED signboards.
