Nexon announced that their new game Crazy Shooting Bubble Fighter exceeded 10,000 concurrent users last weekend. This is a record announcement in about ten days since its beta test was held on the 22nd of January.
In addition, the total subscribers of Bubble Fighter also exceeded 200,000 five days after testing and now it is approaching 330,000. The smooth beta process is outstanding. Also, the number of daily visitors to the web site on the weekend is reaching the one million mark.
Seo Dong-hyun, team manager of development of Bubble Fighter, said: “A really tremendous number of users are interested in Bubble Fighter, which started testing in January. With a thankful mind, we will try much harder to continuously offer diverse game content and flawless service.”
Nexon attracted users with a brilliant commencement event which included endorsement by the popular Korean idol group Girls Generation. This event is held from the 2nd of February to the 1st of March and it is open to every user of Bubble Fighter. The first event asks users to “Please save the members of Girls Generation trapped in bubbles.” Users must collect the Needle item during the game play and rescue all nine members of the girl band. If they do, game players can win gifts like Nexon Cash, signed CDs from Girls Generation, and other prizes.
A second event, called “We collect the friends of Girls Generation” asks players to introduce Bubble Fighter to their friends and acquaintances via messenger. Users can win gifts like a brand new graphics card or, again, signed CDs from Girls Generation. At the same time, users can enjoy a really fun game with their friends. Nexon outlines these opening events on their existing game websites.
Bubble Fighter, produced by Nexon Rodumani Studio, is the third game it has produced, following the popular online games B&B and Cart Rider. This game shares the strengths of friendly graphics and easy but strategic game rules.
