Writing Contest to Encourage Public Participation and Kick Off the Annual Veitnam ICT Event

As Vietnam's largest and most influential ICT, consumer electronics and electronics manufacturing events, Vietnam International Communications Summit & Expo 2009 ('Vietnam Comm 2009') and International Exhibition on Electronics Products in Vietnam 2009 ('Vietnam Electronics 2009') will serve as the most effective and interactive platform not only for industry professionals to exchange market intelligence and explore business opportunities, but also for people from all walks of life to contribute their ideas for the betterment of future industry development.

To encourage public's participation in the future ICT development of Vietnam, a writing contest on the topic of 'The Best Idea in Future ICT Vietnam' will be held in October, serving as a prelude to the Vietnam Comm and Vietnam Electronics 2009 organized during November 18-21, 2009 at Vietnam Exhibition & Fair Centre, Hanoi, Vietnam. People from all types of jobs and different parts of society are welcomed to participate by sharing their interesting ideas, no matter about future ICT products' innovation, applications and service improvement, which may lead to healthier growth of the ICT industry in Vietnam and give future development insights to the industry professionals from the end users' view points. All original works must be typed in English or Vietnamese and are submitted to the organizers no later than October 30, 2009. The winning pieces will be judged by its innovativeness and feasibility and the winners will be awarded with attractive prizes. What is more, a number of competitions will be held during the expos to enhance both exhibitors' innovativeness and public participation. For instance, the competitions of booth design and most interactive booth design competition will be voted by visitors. To demonstrate appreciation to those exhibitors who showed valuable contribution to the ICT industry development in Vietnam, a few more awards of appreciation will be presented to exhibitors at the expos.

Extensive Support from Leading Telecom Operators, Corporations and Pavilion Organizers

As the largest industry event in Vietnam, Vietnam Comm / Vietnam Electronics 2009 received extensive support from local and overseas giant operators and multi-national renowned corporations. Currently, NTT DOCOMO, Huawei and ZTE are the 'Diamond Sponsors' of the twin expos. Orange France Telecom is the 'Banquet Sponsor', Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks are the 'Gold Sponsors', Cisco, Motorola and PCCW Global are the 'Summit Sponsors'. Moreover, the twin expos also receive continuous support from overseas industry pavilion organizers including Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA), CCPIT Electronics and Information Industry Sub-Council, China PTAC Communications Services Co., Ltd., and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA). Furthermore, Ambassade De France Au Vietnam Mission Economique (UBIFRANCE) will show her first presence at the twin expos by organizing a 'France Pavilion'.

The Most Prominent Events in Vietnam

Officially sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of Vietnam and jointly organized by the Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd (Adsale), the twin expos continuously create brilliant track records and contribute to the fast-growth of ICT and electronics industries in Vietnam. The twin expos are expected to occupy about 6,000 sq.m. exhibition area with around 200 local and overseas exhibitors from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, P R China, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, USA and Vietnam.
