Samsung Electronics recently announced that they now provide WiBro (Mobile WiMAX) service to their customers. This service, known as the WiMax 4G Network, is a powerful mobile telecommunication network that provides efficiency as well as speed. After a successful test run on October 26, 2009, Samsung Electronics established this service that provides WiBro global roaming to all their customers and can be accessed from anywhere.
At the exhibition Broadband Taiwan 2009, Samsung Electronics' representative Lee Youn-woo displayed the first mobile phones capable of WiMax global roaming. For this project, Samsung Electronics collaborated with America's Clearwire Co. to establish a WiMax service frequency which can be accessed by products such as MID, Samsung's Mondi, and Taiwan's VMAX.
With this service, mobile WiMax will be available when you travel or go on a business trip, which makes obtaining information through the Internet more convenient and easily accessible.
Kim Eun-sup, Samsung Electronics' Chief of Network Business, said "Mobile WiMax has paved a new road for information access. We are continuing to make this service as convenient and efficient as possible for our customers."
