Dongbu Daewoo Electronics' "global platform" sold 300,000 units in the global markets within six months it was released.
The global platform was produced with the firm’s 100 developers and the investment of 20 billion won to target the global market.
The platform enables a client company to make a global standard model based on parts' standardization, communization and modularization from design and development stages. Then, the firm is also able to control its performance, change period and price according to the market environment.
Dongbu also started to sell its washing machine and refrigerator in April and May each in the Central America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and CIS.
It has been shipping the products in the Middle East countries including Saudi Arabia, U.A.E. and Kuwait and in the European markets including France, Italy and Greece. It is also selling them in New Caledonia, Mauritius and Reunion.
The local tech firm said it has sold a total of 100,000 units of washing machines and 200,000 units of refrigerator in six months they were rolled out.
