Pizza Hut Korea is set to face massive restructuring as part of its headquarters’ management strategies.
The Korean arm is currently operating 14 direct management shops and they will be shifted into franchises down the road, according to Pizza Hut Korea.
As the restaurant company is pushing ahead with shifting its shops into franchises or closing them, cutting headcount seems to be evitable. Around 3,250 already left the company in September and 530 more are set to be dismissed in December, causing more conflicts between the management and labors.
Pizza Hut Korea's official implied more dismissal, saying, “We are ramping up our efforts to continue to grow in the domestic market through business diversification, new product launch and the expansion of franchises."
