President Park Geun-hye and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico held a summit in the afternoon on December 4 and discussed how to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The President proposed the signing of an economic partnership agreement and the establishment of a joint economic committee to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation.
Prime Minister Fico responded that he would explore the possibility of holding a joint economic committee meeting in the first half of next year and expressed the hope that the two sides would be able to hold in-depth discussions in the committee on ways for cooperation on investment, research and development, and innovation.
The two leaders saw eye to eye on the need to continuously expand the close bilateral cooperation from the economy to additional areas in the future such as culture, society and education.
