Air Seoul, Asiana Airlines’ second low-cost carrier (LCC), obtained on Dec. 29 the license to undertake international air transport business from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Air Seoul plans to launch short- and mid- distance flights, such as flights to Japan, China and Southeast Asia, in the first half of next year.
The LCC unveiled its corporate identity (CI) that symbolizes two alphabets: ‘A’ from Air and ‘O’ from Seoul.
The CI was invented by using the brand image of Seoul, the most energetic city in Northeast Asia, expressing the characteristics of Seoul such as ascending energy, dynamism, balance and embracement, the company explained.
Air Seoul CEO Ryu Kwang-hee said “Air Seoul will become an airline that puts safety first, by strengthening safety education and establishing an organized system for safe flights.”
