Shanghai - November 11 - 3H Vision makes a number of different cameras for many different uses, but the one product that they are pushing here at the Asia Electronics Expo Shanghai 2009 (AEES 2009) is their notebook camera module. "Samsung's main notebook manufacturing plant is here in Suzhou, and there are also many other notebook manufacturing companies in the Shanghai region," explained Kwon Tae-en, R&D manager for 3H Vision. Even on the first day of the show they are already reporting great interest. "Ten companies have stopped by already, and two of them are specifically interesting in buying our notebook camera module," he explained.
They are not shooting for the stars - they only want to find one company interested in buying their component. They are focusing on one thing at a time. Even though they have several different types of LED lighting on display, including lamp-style lights for the home and panel-style lights for the office, they are focusing exclusively on getting a new buyer for their camera module.
3H Vision's camera modules include the TBC-1000 and TBC-2000 models, which are 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 respectively. They are designed to be embedded into a laptop lid and work with all operating systems. The TBC-1000 has a 1.3 megapixel sensor and the TBC-2000 has a 2.0 megapixel sensor.
