Korea Telecom (KT) Corporation's overseas sales will be a little over US$600 million by the end of this year. This will mark the highest recorded overseas sales in KT Corporation's history. This amount is an estimated 10% increase from last year's overseas sales.
One of the reasons for this rise in KT's overseas sales is due in part to New Telephone Company (NTC). NTC is a phone service provider located in Vladivostak, Russia. It currently has 1.35 million subscribers and WiMax frequency capabilities of 3.5GHz and 5.7GHz. KT bought 80% of this company's shares in 1997.
