LG Display is set to show off its latest future-oriented organic light-emitting diode (OLED) products in Germany. LG Display said that it would participate in Light + Building 2016, scheduled for Mar. 13~18 in Frankfurt, Germany.
LG Display’s exhibits will be divided mainly into four: flexible OLED panels, table-top transparent OLED panels, OLED mirrors and OLED modules.
As flexible OLED panels enable curvy designs, they can be applied to many areas of interior design. On top of that, they are thin and light, so they can come in various flexible designs.
See-through OLED panels are attached to glass, which is laminated with conductive mesh film to generate a floating effect of light.
As for OLED mirrors, LG Display said that compared to other lighted mirrors which tend to be too thick, mirrors embedded with OLED panels are thin and also generate less glare.
LG Display will showcase its easy-to-install OLED modules, which take full advantage of OLEDs’ unique characteristics of being thin and lightweight, in order to demonstrate how widely OLEDs can be utilized.
