By next year, Korea will put into effect the world's first ever 3D television broadcasting service.
The Korea Communications Commission recently announced a plan that will release this service by January of next year. Once this service is available, it will start off with an experimental and testing phase. If this trial is successful, they plan to expand the service. With the introduction of this new service, Korea has once again shown how advanced they are in the digital world.
This television broadcasting station will feature full HD as well as 3D images. It features 3D encoding technique that differentiates between objects moving left and objects moving right.
Preisdent Choi of the Korea Communications Commission stated, "3D broadcasting will improve the current picture quality for television broadcasting. In addition, we are collecting more data in efforts of upgrading our current radio broadcasting technology."
