South Korea’s Hanjin Shipping said on April 18 that it will launch a new express shipping service on its Asia-US shipping routes.Hanjin Shipping will introduce its new China America Express Service (CAX) linking Shanghai to the Port of Long Beach in California. It will use five 4,000-TEU containerships (a 20-foot-long (6.1 m) container equals 1 TEU). CAX is an express service that will reduce a transition time of 13-14 days to 11 days.
Hanjin Shipping, South Korea's largest shipping line, has decided to launch CAX to meet customers’ growing demands for faster reliable shipping. With the opening of CAX, Hanjin Shipping has also reinforced its sales force dedicated to its Asia-US shipping service.
“By launching a service that links China’s Shanghai and Ninbo to the West coast of the U.S., we can promise customers faster delivery and shorter voyages spent at sea. We will do our best to develop this CAX into a premium service,” said Hanjin Shipping.
