Vodafone, Telefonica, Verizon Wireless, ORANGE, NTTdocomo, Nokia, and Ericsson all mounted KOTRA's glowing chariot to meet the Korean mobile telecommunication companies from November 10-12 at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel. Here, about 110 mobile telecommunication companies gathered from all around the world to do business and make business.

About 40 mobile telecommunication entrepreneurs and 120 global mobile telecommunication companies gathered from 30 different countries at GMV 2009. Here they checked out the latest technologies of domestic mobile phones, mobile communication network devices, mobile platforms, WiBro, DMB, and software through one to one business meetings.

Just to carry on the direct business meeting opportunities, each country's national leading mobile communication enterprises claimed to be present at GMV 2009. Telkomsel of Indonesia, Turkcel of Turkey, AIS of Taiwan, Smart Communication of the Philippines, EVNT of Vietnam, Polkomtel of Poland, Mobily of Saudi Arabia and Pelephone of Israel are only a few of many more that was noted on the show floor.

The top mobile device and equipment companies were present at this event, too. Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Lenovo, Alcatel-lucent, Telcordia, Hitachi and Fujitsu shared their thrill to fully discuss and collaborate with the domestic telecommunication companies with competitive wireless technology. The collaboration is the key to the success of 4G.

Regarding the technological standardization of 4G mobile telecommunication WiBro, LTE, and wireless telecommunication technologies showed high competition for hegemony. Here, the visit of the companies like UQ Communication from Japan and Kulacom from Jordan were quite significant since they have successfully provided WiBro services overseas. Another domestic technology was T-DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). French company TDF and Norwegian company NM-TV both announced their intent to commercialize their mobile broadcasting service with Korean technology T-DMB. They also stress that their visit to GMV 2009 is significant to carry on heavy discussions with service providers in Korea.
