Tmall Global_Automatic Synchronization service page

New K-style products are available at Tmall Global online marketplace.

On June 16, cafe24, Korea’s largest e-commerce platform, announced on the 16th that it will now provide the Automatic Synchronization service for Korean online shopping malls. This service helps them automatically integrate with one of the international categories available on Tmall Global.

Automatic Synchronization service, one of the many services offered by Tmall Global, is to help Korean online retailers sell on Tmall Global their own original products with the same quality and at the same price as sold in Korea.

Being the first ever in the Korean industry to do so, cafe24 and Tmall Global have built a synchronization system for product uploads for Korean online retailers. This service displays in real time on Tmall Global all products uploaded on the seller’s shopping site. All shopping sites using cafe24’s platform can now upload massive quantity of products on Tmall Global within a very short time. In turn, an increase in sales is expected, especially K-style products from every category such as clothing, bags, shoes among others.

With this system, automatic calculation of custom duties and shipping fees is possible helping sellers ease their business management.

Also, on order summary pages, custom duties and shipping fees will be detailed separately from the price of goods. Regardless of the exchange rates and tax rates, Korean sellers can sell their products at the same price as in Korea, which helps them gain price competitiveness and trust from Chinese consumers. As for shipping, Korean sellers can save up to 50% (compared to using Express Mail Service) since Alibaba Group’s logistics service, Cainiao, is used.

Currently, famous Korean online shopping malls such as miamasvin, MIXXMIX and DABAgirl, among others, are using Tmall Global‘s Automatic synchronization service.

Kang Byung-Suk, CEO of miamasvin said, “Demands for fashion products have increased on Tmall Global.” He also explained that due to higher preference for Korean fashion (by Chinese customers,) sales have grown 200% every month. He also added, “As Tmall Global and Korean online shopping malls have generated a significant synergy effect, we have set a 2 billion won sales goal for this year.”

CEO of cafe24, Lee Jae-Suk, went on to say, “With Automatic Synchronization service, it is expected that Korean online retailers will gain trust from Chinese consumers and be recognized by their own distinctive style. Through close cooperation between cafe24 and Tmall Global, services for Chinese cross boarder shoppers will improve significantly.”
