The iPhone makes a good picture

A recent report shows that the newly launched iPhone is not being bought by teenagers in Korea. It is believed that the price of this product makes teenage buyers nervous and the other related charges and fees doesn't help ease their tension. However, over 100,000 iPhones were sold within the first 10 days of its release.

Even with this product being sold to many customers, reports indicate that 86.9% of the iPhone subscribers are between the ages of 20 and 30.

Analysts thought this trend would change during the Christmas season and the New Year season, but it seems like that won't be the case. Last month, Samsung Electronics recently came out with their newest phone known as the Corby phone. This model has been advertised by a popular Korean idol group known as 2PM. Currently, that phone is very popular with over 100,000 copies of their phones sold.

Records indicate that Samsung's Corby is more popular amongst teenagers. Approximately 45% of it's subscribers are teenagers. A total of 29% of their subscribers are between the ages of 20 and 30. Also, 65.5% of them are females while the other 34.4% are males.

The new trend of marketing techniques for phone companies is involving popular singers and celebrities to advertise their products. Before Samsung Electronics chose 2PM, a popular male singing group, to advertise their Corby phone, LG Electronics featured two other popular bands Big Bang and 2NE1 to advertise their new Lollipop model phones earlier this year. The current status of LG Electronics' Lollipop phones is 700,000 copies of their phones sold with plans to continue selling until February of next year.

Kim Min-woo, an accounting analyst for Ehan Electronics, stated, "Young boys and girls are very interested in the iPhone, but the pricey cost and other rates make them choose a different cell phone. Parents would usually look at the price and say it is to expensive and then search for the next best product in the market. Recently, this second best product on the market has usually been considered to be Samsung's Corby, which is the reason why they have many subscribers. "
