Kumho will become Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur’s Official Tyre Partner for an initial two years from the start of the 2016-17 season. Kumho Tire has signed a sponsorship agreement with Tottenham Hotspur.
On July 19, Kumho Tire President and CEO Lee Han-seob had a signing ceremony with team manager Mauricio Pochettino, as well as the club's players including Korean footballer Son Heung-min and Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, at the club's London training center dubbed Hotspur Way.
Under the official sponsorship agreement, Kumho Tire will have a strong brand presence through online and offline channels (e.g. LED panels, A-boards, match brochures and websites) during the Club’s home matches that take place at the team's home stadium, White Hart Lane.
Kumho Tire had previously sponsored Manchester United from 2007 to 2011 when Korean football player Park Ji-sung was playing for Manchester United.
Since its deal with Manchester United expired, Kumho Tire has continued to swell its football sponsorship portfolio. As of now, Kumho sponsors Tire Bundesliga Hamburger SV, Hertha BSC, FC Shalke04 and Spanish soccer club Atletico Madrid.
