On July 28, 2016 – Selling K-Style (Korean Style) items online in Taiwan has now become easier than ever. The e-commerce platform, cafe24 (CEO Jae-Suk Lee,) announced on the 28th that it has opened a new global branch in Taipei, Taiwan, in order to actively support businesses and companies selling K-Style items expand into the Chinese-speaking market.
Taiwan has the fourth largest e-commerce market in Asia, after China, Japan, and South Korea. K-Fashion, K-Beauty, and other Korean products are gaining popularity at a great speed as K-pop and K-drama are already quite embedded in the Taiwanese culture.
Using this fact as an indispensable stepping stone, cafe24’s Taiwan branch will be a major liaison with the Chinese-speaking markets. This global branch will not only oversee but also support customer service, translation, and logistics, provide localized marketing, and manage trademark rights and brands.
CEO Jae-Suk Lee of cafe24 explained, “K-Style is a favorite in Taiwan, and the e-commerce market is growing exponentially as smartphone and LTE service penetration rate is high.” He also added that cafe24 will offer full support to anyone planning on expanding the business into such market.
cafe24 has a total of 7 global branches including in China, Japan, the Philippines, and the US. It also offers various language packs including English, Chinese (traditional and simplified,) Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and more.
