No Chain (The Association of North Korean Political Victims & Their Families), founded by North Korean defector and activist Jung Gwang Il, proudly presents an afternoon discussion event featuring North Korean defector and activist and the 2013 Václav Havel International Prize for Creative Dissent winner, PARK SANG HAK - Founder and Executive Director of Fighters for Free North Korea (FFNK) and one of the few activists in South Korea using balloons to send in outside information into North Korea.
"I am honored and excited to host my dear friend and colleague Park Sang Hak in Washington, D.C. where he will share about the important work he does in using balloons to send in outside information and truth to the people inside North Korea," said Jung. "Despite the immense attacks and criticism from the North Korean regime, assassination attempts on his life, and opposition from pro-North Korean factions in South Korea, Mr. Park has resolutely stared down the regime and its lackeys with a fierce determination to free our fellow brothers and sisters with the TRUTH of the outside world."
"It is our desire and hope that those interested in participating and helping out Mr. Park's work will come and hear directly from the man himself, and find out how one can directly help and become involved with Mr. Park and his organization," said Henry Song, the North America Director for No Chain.
Mr. Park will give a talk about the work that he does through Fighters for Free North Korea (FFNK); how balloons are used to deliver leaflets and other materials into North Korea; and the latest updates and analysis regarding news and developments from inside the country. A short Q&A session will follow Mr. Park's talk, with English interpretation provided.
