This upcoming new year, the government will increase the budget for the export financing and insurance industry to 250 trillion won or US$208 billion. Compared to this years 221 trillion won, the 250 trillion won will become a 13.1 percent increased scale.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy believes the display industry will be boosted as well as other businesses and corporations like KOTRA. The Ministry of Finance, the government, ministries, and other offices were present at the export measuring committee meeting which was opened for next year's export goals. With these agreed upon goals, the government will provide total strength and to achieve these goals. They believe the main force on the export list will be cars and semiconductors. Also, they predict that pharmaceuticals will be increased by 21.4 percent, radiation will be increased by 25 percent, agricultural and marine products will be increased by 27.7 percent, and contents will be increased by 26.7 percent. The majority of the export product list are expected to have a large increase.
