Korea IT Times today announced the appointment of Monica Younsoo Chung, publisher and editor-in-chief of Korea IT Times, as president and correspondent for Canada and North America. The appointment is a step toward establishing an office in Vancouver, Canada, the gateway to North America, to serve as a bridge between Korean IT companies and local buyers and investors in Vancouver, which is emerging as the next Silicon Valley.
"Canada is an active market for investment in IT technology and startups, and Vancouver in particular is an area where we have active access to investors in the North American market such as Silicon Valley," said Chung. "We plan to promote the true nature of Korean IT technology as the Korean brand is highly valued through Korean culture such as K-POP, movies and dramas."
Since its inception in 2004, Korea IT Times has played a key role in promoting the Korean IT industry overseas and introducing the global IT industry to Korea.
