Officials gathered at a forum on 3D technology at the Seoul, Press Center on Thursday, to discuss 3D convergence industry and road map policies to develop the sector.
Kim Eun-soo, the president of Korea Information and Communication Society and Korea IT Times publisher Cho Sung-kap, started the forum with their welcoming speech, “At the forum, industry experts will discuss the future of 3D convergence. The 3D convergence is a blue ocean business with high potential growth, but there are still many problems to overcome. Through vigorous discussion, we would like to find various solutions to lead the industry in the world.”
Cho Sung-kap, followed with his congratulatory speech, “3D industry will grow significantly in the near future. The discussion will especially cover the content creation and export as well as solutions for technical problems such as feeling dizziness after watching 3D content for a long period of time. The development of 3D technology will tear down the wall between media contents and other businesses. The 2010 World Cup will be broadcast in 3D, and the 3D content business will grow 17 percent annually. The market is expected to reach US$15 million in business and the 3D industry will greatly contribute to the growth of the Korean industry.”
