In ancient China during the Warring States Period, there were seven states; Qi, Chu, Yan, Han, Zhao, Wei and Qin. Qin and Qi were considered two of the strongest dynasties amongst the seven.
Qin believed in unifying China, but the mighty Qin could not defeat the more powerful Qi. Therefore, Qi was tricked by Qin because Qin suggested that we should become one empire. Thus, Qin was called the western empire and Qi sat on throne of the eastern empire. Therefore, when Qi had fulfilled its position, Qin strengthening its leverage and got the other five dynasties to turn on Qi. In the end Qin subjugated Qi and the other Warring States to unify China.
According to People's Daily Online, America has flattered China by epitomizes China is one of the most important countries in the world and by labeling them a G2 country. Whenever America makes G2, G3, or any ‘G’ group these factions are intended to serve America's will. China got into G2; this is America's strategy, just like what Qin did to Qi. China is not fooled by this strategy.
China has become increasingly important due to its fast growing economy and it deserves to sit at the G2 table. In contrast, China is not satisfied with the title, G2. It has to depend on its own capability, by growing even bigger and stronger. China needs to count on itself, not some title given by other countries.
