Although Applied Materials Inc. is under the suspicion of stealing Samsung Electronics' chip-making technology, Samsung Electronics opens their mouth saying it is hard to not allow AMAT's equipment. Thus, the best option to cope with such a situation would be buying AMAT's equipment via its retail stores. In this way, it will minimize the possibility of Samsung Electronics' technologies from leaking out and allow the company to safely use AMAT's equipment at one fell swoop.
Samsung Electronics reluctantly states that without AMAT's equipment, it will be difficult for the company to accomplish mass investment. After all, Applied Materials makes high-end semiconductor-making equipment used by companies such as Samsung and Hynix.
