In response to Apple's "iPad," Samsung Electronics, Inc. hopes to launch a Tablet PC as early as this May, a Samsung analyst says. While Microsoft, HP, LG Electronics, and Google are also expected to come up with comparable technology, Samsung may be the first among them to compete against Apple.
Ipad will be released this March worldwide, but not in Korea, so if Samsung releases its Tablet PC in Korea before Apple does, Samsung can take advantage of the Tablet market in Korea. Furthermore, to compete with Apple's computer technology, Samsung is also creating a battery somewhat similar to Apple's that would have 30 pins in USB-like system. Realizing that the quality of the machines itself is not enough; Samsung is trying to come up with application-contents oriented technology, which the users can add or take away whenever they desire. Whether Samsung can compete against Apple PC is still in question.
