Convergence technology production center, an integrated facility of research and production, will begin its initial construction. This will be the outpost for the industrialization's new engine for growth on convergence technology. Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at the ETRI site on February 26, where key members of this project and 12 related organizations are present.
Its incentive is to build this center to help small businesses to advance to mid-sized companies. This will enhance specialized industries such as the businesses progressing in Daedeok. More specifically, the new center is expected to build production supporting facility that will support companies to manufacture and commercialize first stage products. Also, it will pave the way to discover and raise potential convergence technology companies, all in all making possible for the transition from a small business to an enterprise of middle standing to happen.
The convergence of technology production center is planned to be done by late May of 2011. This eight story building covers an area of 23,039 square meters.
