The Ewha Womans University Mokdong hospital based in Seoul Korea announced on December 13 that Dr. Ju, Woong of obstetrician professor and a director of the Public Health Service Center received a prize from the Park Neung-hoo, Minister of Health and Welfare.
During the past four years, Professor Ju of the Center has led the Public Health Center of Ewha Womans University Mokdong hospital and has been recognized for contributing to the development of medical services in the public sector by enhancing the clinical practice capacity of the public medical institutions in 39 provinces across the country.
Professor Ju was as only private medical institution except for public medical institutions, and honored with the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
Professor Ju said, "It is meaningful that private hospitals can contribute to public health in the medical situation in Korea where the roles of public health and private health are mixed." and added " We will continue to make efforts to establish bilateral exchanges and networks with the public sector in the future."
