Oracle today announced Hyundai Capital, a Korea-based global financial company, is moving to one global human resources (HR) system, through its use of Oracle's cloud-based software for HR professionals. The transition, due to be completed in the first half of next year, is part of Hyundai's efforts to bolster its digital capabilities and implement its "Global One Company" Structure.

According to PR Newswire on December 18 that Hyundai's new global HR system, My HR will include all of its HR functions from global operations to employee education. When completed, My HR will enable Hyundai's employees around the world to update and share HR data in real-time, and manage talent more efficiently. Employees worldwide will also benefit from improved access to training and educational tools, and better onboarding programs. Candidates interested for jobs will experience the same application process, regardless of what country they live in.

My HR is being built using a mix of on- and off-premise cloud-based options available with Oracle HCM Fusion Cloud. It will replace technology that requires Hyundai employees in 10 subsidiary offices around the world to use separate HR systems.

A Hyundai Capital official said, "We are adopting a global HR system to enhance our 'Global One Company' strategy which enables all employees around the world to share Hyundai Capital's HR philosophy and to work using a single system. Our transformation will ultimately improve employee experience, globally.

"Given the strict regulatory landscape of the financial industry, it was also a big challenge to integrate and compile information under different countries' regulations and requirements into one unified solution. Using both on- and off-premise and cloud-based deployment options, Oracle's HCM Cloud is enabling us to interconnect all of our HR employees worldwide and to unite them under the same values and vision."

Sang-Hoon Lee, Sales Senior Director of Oracle Korea, said, "Our customers in Korea are telling us effective talent management is critical to their success in the 4th Industrial Revolution and they are asking for cloud solutions that can be deployed at home and around the world. Hyundai Capital, however, is an innovator in this space and is ahead of the curve with its adoption of a global, cloud-based HR system. We expect others will follow their lead."

Oracle's Fusion HCM Cloud supports a large-scale reporting and security requirements for customers' global HR management. Its core functions include global HR; salary; compensation and benefits; goal and performance management; talent assessment and succession; and recruiting and onboarding. Major global corporations such as Ford Motors, AXA Financial Group, BT, and Tesco utilize Oracle's HCM Cloud.
