Kim Yong-Jae,MD, professor of neurology at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital started work as a new chairman of Korean Neurosurgical Society. The term of office is two years from March 1, 2018.
The Korean Neurosurgical Society was founded in March 2009 to improve the quality of patient care with neurological diseases by acquiring knowledge and techniques of ultrasound. Since its foundation, it has been striving for academic research and professional training.
Dr. Kim of the new chairman of Korean Neurosurgical Society is the head of the stroke center at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital. and he is one of the very few awarded Korean from the American Society of Neuroimaging(ASN) certification. In particular, early onset of a stroke, which leaves a large aftereffect on the patient, is minimized by increasing the cure rate through a fast and intensive evidence-based treatment system. He is also concentrating to help preventing cerebral palsy through regular health lectures and health consultations.
Dr. Kim will be inaugurated during the conference of Korean Society of Neurological Ultrasound on March 10 at the Baekbeom Memorial Hall in Korea.
