HSINCHU, Taiwan, March 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC. ("ChipMOS" or the "Company") (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 8150 and NASDAQ: IMOS), an industry leading provider of outsourced semiconductor assembly and test services ("OSAT"), today reported its unaudited consolidated revenue for the month of February 2018. All U.S. dollar figures cited in this press release are based on the exchange rate of NT$29.32 to US$1.00 as of February 28, 2018.

Revenue for the month of February 2018, was NT$1,210.4 million or US$41.3 million, a decrease of 9.5% from the month of January 2018 and a decrease of 14.8% from the same period in 2017. February, as is typical, was impacted by both seasonally softer demand in the first quarter and a fewer number of working days in the month due to Chinese New Year closures. Based on historical trends, the Company expects revenue in March will be sequentially higher than February, with the first quarter overall typically representing the low point for the year due to the above noted factors.
