Mobile gaming company Com2us announced that he participated in the “Pax East 2018” held at the Boston Convention Center in Massachusetts for four days from April 5th.
‘Pax East’ is one of the most popular game shows in North America, with major global players participating every year since its opening in 2004, drawing huge crowds of visitors to see and experience.
Com2us will participate in conjunction with Skybound Entertainment, which will work on expanding the ‘intellectual property’ (IP) rights to ‘Summoners War”, and use the Summoners War IP to set up a booth in this event. Through a variety of programs to promote ‘Summoners War’ brand, it will create valuable time to communicate with local visitors.
A photo zone was installed in the form of a ‘magic summon circle’ to summon monsters at the scene, and gifts were provided according to which monsters the visitors took the picture with. During the event, people who uploaded photos of the ‘Summoners War’ booth and appearance of the event to their SNS were given a chance to enter a lottery and win a prize. Furthermore, the video shooting with the Angelmon doll was well received by the booth visitors because it allowed them to participate in it.
In addition, visitors who wished to participate in the event were given the chance to participate in mini-tournaments by teaming up, into two teams, with famous influencers. Moreover, real-time arena fights that compete with the influencers was also held, allowing users to experience the ‘Summoners War’ e-sports through the real-time PVP (Player vs Player) content.
An official at Com2us said, “Summoners War, which is evolving beyond a game to a single popular cultural IP, took part in this event to further enhance communication with users in the North American market. In the future, we will provide a variety of communication windows so that the mobile game ‘Summoners War’ can create a new gaming culture as a brand.”
