LG Display will participate in the "6th China Information Technology EXPO 2018" to showcase OLED with various applications.
"CITE 2018," which will be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province from April 9th to 11th, is Asia’s largest information and electronics exhibition hosted by China’s Industrialization Information Service and the local government of Shenzhen, with more than 1,600 companies and 160,000 visitors participating each year.
OLED is considered to be the best current display in many fields such as contrast, color accuracy, and viewing angles. In particular, large OLEDs, which have been uniquely developed, are gaining popularity in the premium market by being well-suited to the needs of consumers with their dimension and design that are on an entirely different level from other products on the market.
Earlier this year, LG Display exhibited the world’s first 88-inch 8K OLED, which has drawn attention from the public. It is the largest of the existing OLED TV products, and delivers 4 times (7680x4320 resolution) clearer quality than UHD (3840x2160 resolution).
LG Display also exhibited the 65-inch speaker-integrated CSO (Crystal Sound OLED), and won the "CITE 2018" Technology Innovation Gold Award for the most innovative product. It is an innovative product that makes sound come directly from the screen by incorporating the sound system into the panel. The location of the screen matches the sound location, thereby maximizing the sense of field and the degree of immersion.
LG Display was the first to introduce OLED lighting in China. It is environmentally friendly as it consumes less power and heat than conventional light sources. Its light mimics natural light, thereby minimizing eye fatigue.
LG Display’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Yeo Sang-duk said, “The acceptability of new technologies and new products will continue to lead the OLED market together with the Chinese customers in the Chinese market, which is considered the fastest growing market in the world.”
