At the invitation of Kazakhstan’s Almaty State Government, Paik Nam-sun, director of Ewha Womans University Cancer Center for Women, came back from a visit to Kazakhstan’s Almaty district from April 7 to April 11 after providing the advanced medical techniques of Ewha Womans University Medical Center.
Hospital director Paik Nam-sum visited Kazakhstan’s ‘ALL ASIA’, a leading foreign patient provider, and conducted treatments for about 40 people with breast cancer, thyroid cancer, breast benign tumors and thyroid tumors.
Since then, Dr. Paik visited the Almaty Cancer Hospital and conducted a demonstration of two breast cancer patients with 40 medical personnel present. He was also in the spotlight when he gave lectures on Korea’s newest breast cancer surgery procedures and advances.
Dr. Paik also attended the Almaty State Government Prime Minister’s meeting with Kazakhstan’s deputy prime minister to discuss ways to promote cooperation between Korea and Kazakstan.
Dr. Paik said, “My schedule was packed with demonstrations and lectures, but I was able to strengthen cooperation between Kazakhstan and Ewha Medical Center. Through this visit, I expect that awareness of Ewha Medical Center will be increased in Kazakhstan.”
