Now, a software (SW) source code stealer is going to be busted. Korea's Copyright Commission invented a system called "Codejam", which is able to back-trace who copied the proprietary SW from cooperative rivalries.
Codejam will be offering Codejam-i (author confirmation service) and Codejam-o (code obfuscation system). Codejam-i recognizes copyrighted code and writes its own source code to prove that the original source code is legit. Plus, it will let you know if the source code is leaked. On the other hand, Codejam-o protects the core technology.
This has been a serious problem, with leaked SW source code, but there was no way to catch the outflow of source code. In 2005, there were 26 disputes because of SW source code leaks, which was doubled when compared to last year. Hopefully Codejam system diminishes the illegal outflow.
This free-charging system is going to be activated soon. More details on www.codejam.or.kr.
