The Incheon International Airport (CEO Jeon Il-young) announced that it will hold the ‘Incheon Airport Aviation Terrorism Prevention Campaign’ for five days from July 30th to August 3rd at the Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 & 2.
The campaign is designed to inspire passengers who have visited the airport to raise awareness about airborne terrorism and to encourage passengers to report their suspicions of terrorism.If someone witnesses an act of terrorism at the Incheon International Airport, he/she can report it to the Incheon International Airport Counter-Terrorism office.
The Incheon International Airport posted posters containing terrorism prevention measure and report numbers during the campaign period, and distributed brochures and souvenirs to passengers during the campaign. Furthermore, the Incheon International Airport set up a campaign booth at the terminal departure hall to show the importance of preventing terrorism to passengers by displaying countermeasures and improved explosive devices (IED).
“Through this campaign, we were able to inform passengers who visited the Incheon Airport during the high season period of their awareness of the aviation terror and the importance of preventing terrorism. We will prevent aviation terrorism in advance and establish a comprehensive response system to keep the airport safe from terrorist threats,” said Jung Chang-yoon, Chief of Incheon International Airport’s Aviation Security.
