Hana Financial Group made an announcement on August 1st that it has created a dedicated data organization to systematically manage and utilize data at the group level and to implement the digital strategy of the data base. To that end, the company established a Chief Data Officer under the management support division of Hana Financial Group and appointed Kim Jeong-ha as Vice-president.
Vice-president Kim was recruited in December last year as General Manager and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of DT Lab (Digital Transformation Lab), a group dedicated to Digital Innovation (Digital Transformation) technology.
Through the creation of a dedicated data organization, Hana Financial Group will establish a consistent financial data management philosophy and sustainable data policies, establish and implement a systematic strategy for collecting, managing, and utilizing group data, and support for collaboration among organization related to group company data.
The CDO organization, which is a data dedicated organization, will create a new identity by combining technology and data with the existing DT Lab, centering on a new ‘Data Strategy Team’.
DT Lab, which was established in January after recruiting Vice President Kim, is an independent company in the form of Company In Company (CIC) in Hana Financial Group, an IT affiliate of Hana Financial Group. It is based on financial data such as AI as well as research on new technologies.
