It is time to let the world know that Dokdo belongs to Korea via mobile application. There is already a mobile application that was made by a netizen, "Dokdo in Korea". This Android application provides the basic information of the island and links related to it.
This movement was started by Voluntary Agency Network Korean (VANK) and the cyber diplomatic mission will jump into the fray too. VANK stated that they are going to create an application to let the world know that Dokdo is not Japanese. Therefore, VANK'S impact would gain momentum by making an application for iPhones and iPads.
Besides the Dokdo issue, even some world map applications for the iPhone are marked as "East Sea" or "Japnaese Sea". Due to the popularity of smartphones and with the vast applications for it, the correct information surrounding Dokdo and Korea needs to be offered. However, applications for the iPad have not been released yet, and now is the right time to do so. The English version of the Dokdo application for smartphones is going to be released to the public next month.
