Dongwon F&B signed a business agreement with Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF), the largest food company in Thailand, to expand and collaborate on food business opportunities.
At the closing ceremony held at the CPF headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, key executives from both companies attended the ceremony, including the President of Dongwon F&B Kim Jae-ok and President of CPF Mr. Sukhawat. The two companies have promised gradual cooperation in the future for mutual imports and exports in relation to major products produced by both companies, including pet food, HMR, and dairy products.
CP (Charoen Pokphand) group, which CPF belongs to, is Thailand’s largest company with annual sales of 48.76 billion dollars through various businesses such as food, distribution, finance and telecommunications. CP group’s sales account for about 11% of Thailand’s total GDP. Among them, CPF is the largest affiliate with 15.1 billion dollars a year in annual sales, producing a variety of foods, including meat, fresh food and HMR, and exporting food to more than 30 countries through production plants and sales networks in 16 countries. Furthermore, CP All, the group’s distributor, has the largest distribution network in Thailand, operating the largest warehouse mart in Thailand, ‘Makro’ and 11,000 ‘7eleven’.
Dongwon F&B plans to showcase its diverse products to the Thai market through continuous exchange and cooperation with CPF and CP group, while importing and selling excellent products made by CPF. In particular, Dongwon F&B is expected to be more effective as it is working with a company that has the largest distribution channel in Thailand.
