On April 27, 2010, AMD Korea organized an event at Yongsan Electronics Land Cinema for the introduction of their new AMD Phenom II X6 6-core processor. This event was the introduction of this new cutting-edge product to be sold to the public.
At this event, there were about 15,000 visitors who came to look at the new product and make inquiries about it. The day before, online shopping mall Icoda and Compuzone auctioned 20 limited editions of this product, and demand for this limited edition was high. It took less than 1 minute for it to sell out, providing sadness for the hundreds of people on the waiting list.
This new processor will be priced around KRW 200,000, while the AMD Phenom II X6 1055T will be sold for KRW 190,000.
Attending this event was a must for the fervent PC related people. This was the newest cutting-edge product on the market. Some people even arrived at 4:00 A.M. to find good spots for this event.
During this event, the event president had six monitors connected with ATI Infinity technology and the AMD Phenom II X6 System to compose the best AMD system available.
