GEP2010 is being held from May 18 to May 20 at COEX

Today, "green growth" has become a popular phrase. Since enterprises recognized the importance of environment, they have been trying to protect it with their technology. And "Global Electric Power Tech 2010 (GEP2010)" supports those technologies. This upcoming event is sponsored by Korea Electric Engineers Association and KOTRA. GEP2010 is going to be held from May 18 to May 20 at COEX in Seoul.

GEP2010, which is a UFI approved event, has been playing an influential role for the electric industry. And it brought nationwide synergy effect by focusing on domestic/oversea marketing every year.

This is the eighth year for the event, and this year 250 companies from over 20 nations will attend. These companies are going to present about "Green Grid installation", "Nuclear power plants installation" and "New & Renewable Energy".

For GEP2010, KOTRA has invited engineering procurement constructions, clients from 40 nations over the world, and 150 influential importers as well.

As far as it is known, Areva (French nuclear engineering company), Energo Nuclear (Rumanian company), Israel Electric Corporation are determined to come and others are planning to visit Korea too. Also many relative domestic companies and even local governments from Kyunggi-do and Seoul are going to attend this event.

GEP has been procuring orders for the boom of Korean nuclear power plants. In 2009, due to GEP, Korea has earned US$ 360 million power equipment export contracts, US$ 38 billion due to projects, US$ 4 million onsite agreements. Not only these, after "Foreign Buyer Invitation Exports Trade Meeting" in GEP2009, Kenya Electricity Generating Company ordered two power plants (US$1.3million of scale), Korea Electric Power Corp has achieved US$2.5 million project contract with ACWA Power (Saudi Arabian company).

Also in this year, for providing relevant information and power industry trends, there will be Exports Trade Meeting for foreign buyers (man to man translation will be supported) and a seminar associated with the exhibition.

Korea Electric Engineers Association hopes that GEP2010 provides high-tech information and decent marketing base for making power industry stronger exports business in the world, at the same time, they expect that this event gives a chance to many domestic companies to advertise their high quality technology.
