Ssangyong Motor Co. said on Sept. 20 that the 28th Ssangyong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials, which were selected as one of the world heritages of UNESCO in 1722, were held in the Britain.
Ssangyong Motor sponsored the Blenheim Palace equestrian competition, which matched the class of G4 Rexton when it released the "King's Return" G4 Rexton in the U.K. last year, and extended its title sponsor agreement until 2023.
The trials, which were held in the Blenheim Palace from Sept. 13 through 16, were carried out in the CCI 3 star-class, CIC 3-star class dressage, cross-country and show jump fields with attendants of 190 players.
Ssangyong Motor installed brand advertising boards throughout the stadium and displayed its vehicles such as G4 Rexton, Rexton Sports and Tivoli so that visitors can look around.
"Sponsoring a prestigious horse riding competition in the Britain is not only a successful case of sports marketing but also an excellent strategy in terms of expanding the brand image of Ssangyong Motor, including G4 Rexton in the UK market," said Ssangyong Motor CEO Choi Jong-shik.
