Barun Electronics, specialized in comprehensive semiconductors, announced on October 8 that it has developed bio fingerprint recognition USB flash drive 3.0.
Storage space can be divided into public and security zones, and the capacity per area can be freely set when biometric information is registered through touch-type sensors.
Up to 10 people can register fingerprints and the security area can be accessed only after users who enter fingerprint information pass authentication, preventing the leakage of important documents, confidential data and personal information, the company said.
Its UFD 3.0 product supports a variety of capacities with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and has secured competitive edge in price and reliability through its own design and manufacturing.
"With fingerprint recognition technology, users can safely protect their personal information or confidential data that is sensitive to security, and each registered user can easily send and receive data," said a representative for the company.
Meanwhile, the company explained that it expects sales to increase as it is continuously securing products according to changes in markets such as 512GB high-capacity UFD and ultra-small USB on-demand (OTG) that uses Type C connectors.
