5 companies and 2 research institutes we are about to introduce may be small and medium in size, but the quality of their technology extends further than the size of their business. It can be seen at the "Next Generation Conversance Contents Pavilion" and "Korea Telecommunication's Operations Association."

Daily English, English Study Application

1. ZIO Interactive

ZIO Interactive is a company which specializes in mobile game development and publishing. The company has accumulated experience in the development of professional personnel and a technical know-how for over 13 years. Now the company serves their technology for the use of education.

The company has released the "Daily English" which is an application that helps people memorize English words. Ideas of flash card theory and brain theory which was developed by Herman Ebbinghaus, a pioneer for the experimental study of memory, were used for the development of this application.  

The application selects the optimal level of learning for a user as well as to manage the individual learning daily. Reviews, quizzes, and achievement tests are provided throughout the application.

 

2. Virtual Builders

GongTool by Virtual Builders

The primary business areas of Virtual Builders are digital content business, IT construction, and development IT applications. "Gongtool" was invented by Virtual Builders and Choi Jin-won, CTO & Professor from Yonsei University. What is the difference between "GongTool" and the previous tools With GongTool, it is possible for users to directly create space-based contents in a conceptual space. Also, users can share information and communicate on the web. This is the information platform, which can manage all the information.

 

 

3. Big I Entertainment

Since March 2000, Big I Entertainment has supplied designs of virtual reality special imaging (stereoscopic video in 3D, stereoscopic interactive in 4D) and constructed a special theater. Currently, the "2D to 3D converting" solution is under development aimed for broadcast content, with stage one of the process planned to be completed by May 2010. At the World IT Show, they will demonstrate the educational 3D animation content, which is the result of "2D to 3D converting."

 

4. Xiness

Escube DCRS is the solution of developing content management, settlement, and trade and support functions by reprocessing digital content to be able to serve in a variety of ways. Also, it is designed to provide contents at an open market though the functions which is to build an online digital content market and to enlarge the outside retails. Music, video, e-book, and digital content, regardless of it's type, are solutions that can commercialize all the contents for management and distribution.

 

White Island, a mystery adventure mobile game

5. Visual Shower

White Island, which received the prize Digital Content Award 2009, will be shown at World IT Show 2010. "White Island" is a traditional mystery adventure mobile game set in "Backdo (White Island in Korea). Visual Showers produces a superior content with world-class developing software embedded solutions and has a creative content production process. They will release a total of 8 contents this year.

 

 

 

 

At the "Korea Telecommunication's Operations Association"

 

1. Kangwon Embedded Software Cooperative Research Center (GEMS-CRC)

"USN-based Remote Monitoring System " is able to communicate data instantly in a round way unlike the previous monitoring system. Also, large amounts of data and image transfers are possible with this cutting-edge system. By simple operation from a central server, the on-site actuator operation can be managed and monitored for 365 days and 24 hours without having to visit the site directly. The system can be applied to various fields such as hazard mitigation, environmental management, facilities management, and healthcare.

 

2. Research Institute of Bio-information Technology

RIUBIT is the leading research institute in the Chungcheong area supported by KT, North Chungcheong province government, and Chungbuk National University. RIUBIT develops and commercializes the core technologies in the field of USN and U-IT.

AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), created by RIUBIT, is a remote inspection system. It is capable of remote reading for the usage of water, electricity, gas, data management, anglicizing, and even billing services (billing).
