Two retirees filed a complaint against the food supplier with police

Samsung Welstory, the largest food supplier in Korea, has been filed with police for secretly using the licenses of a retired nutritionist and a cook.

The Bundang Police Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, said on Oct. 6 that it is investigating Samsung Welstory on charges of illegal use of private documents.

Two Samsung Welstory retirees filed a complaint last month, claiming that the company secretly used their licenses for cook and nutritionist even after they retired.

In the lawsuit, they claimed that Samsung Welstory used their licenses for cook and nutritionist to bid for the food and materials supply business at local governments' welfare facilities.

A Samsung Welstory official said in an interview with Kyunghyang daily newspaper, "It was a simple mistake. We should not have used the retirees' licenses after retirement, but I failed to grasp the situation internally."
