Koh Dong-jin, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, introduces Samsung Galaxy A9 at the Galaxy A9 event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 11

Samsung Electronics held the Galaxy A9 event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 11 and introduced the Galaxy A9 with four cameras on the back of the smartphone for the first time in the world.

"For the fast-changing visual communication generation, we introduce A series of products with the best camera and dynamic design," said Koh Dong-jin, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.

"Galaxy A9 with the world's first four rear cameras and intelligent functions will help us capture and share the best moments anytime, anywhere," he said.

The Galaxy A9 is equipped with 24 million pixel basic main lenses, telescope lenses, ultra wide lenses, and depth lenses on the back of the smartphone, and has the world's first quad camera that allows users to view and share the world anytime.

It is equipped with a 10 million pixel telescope camera that supports double optical zoom so that it can shoot detailed images of the subjects from a distance.

In addition, the camera is equipped with an 8 million-pixel super-wide angle camera that is similar to a person's viewing angle and allows the user to take pictures as they see it.

The Galaxy A9 is also equipped with a 24-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel depth camera to provide a live Focus function that allows users to apply the Bokeh effect freely before and after filming.

Live Focus allows users to take more beautiful photos by displaying certain subjects more clearly and dimly behind them, just as a professional photographer did.

In particular, the Galaxy A9 has an artificial intelligence-based 'intelligent camera', which debuted with the latest flagship smartphone 'Galaxy Note 9. Users can take the best picture without changing mode or applying filters depending on the scene.

Also, it automatically detects that a person has not been filmed clearly due to closing or shaking and notifies users in real time, such as "You blinked your eyes" and "The picture shook."

The Galaxy A9 has an Infinity Display with a ratio of 18.5 to 9 and a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Display. With a 3,800mAh high-capacity battery, you can use it all day without the burden of charging.

The products will be released in two models, 6GB and 8GB. It supports 128GB internal memory and up to 512GB micro SD card so that more pictures and files can be stored. It will be released worldwide sequentially starting in November.
