SK Telecom visited the U.S. to look for key human resources that will lead the domestic AI development. SK Telecom announced on Oct. 13 (local time) that it participated in the "Creative and Invention Conference" hosted by Korean IT experts in Seattle, the U.S. and conducted recruitment activities for AI experts and students in related fields.
The conference was held in Seattle, Washington, with 200 IT workers and students gathered, and Kim Yoon, director of the AI center, SK Telecom who oversees the AI business and development, attended the event to directly recruit talented persons in the AI field.
Kim was well received by participants by explaining SK Telecom's vision of AI field, current status of business, and future research plans, and held direct recruitment consultations with experts in the AI field.
SK Telecom participated in ICML (International Conference on Machine Learning), an academic conference held in Stockholm, Sweden in July, and prepared a recruiting booth. In December, it plans to attend the NIPS(Neural Information Processing Systems) to be held in Montreal, Canada, to recruit professionals in the global AI field.
