SK Group is going to collect technical capabilities in ICT field.
SK Telecom announced that it held "SK ICT Tech Summit 2018" that shares ICT technologies and services of 13 SK Group affiliates at Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul between October 30 and 31.
13 participants, including SK Telecom, SK Hynix, SK Broadband, SK C&C, SK Planet, and 11th Street attend at the event and display technologies in 7 areas including AI, big data, IoT, cloud, media, and security.
SK ICT Tech Summit 2018, which marks its third anniversary this year, was held to lead the fourth industrial revolution and increase global competitiveness based on SK Group's New ICT assets.
At the event, SK Group will also invite various partner companies in partnership to to find ways to create synergy by sharing ICT's capabilities with its partners.
The two-day event starts with a VR drawing show that utilizes SK Telecom's space recognition technology, and each participant will display technologies by subject by placing separate booths outside the main event venue.
SK Telecom introduces machine running based on big data, AI security system, and personalized contents recommendation technology, while SK C&C will introduce data management platform that utilizes AI and blockchain.
The new 'Joint R&D Zone' displays the results of collaboration by SK Group's affiliates.
Exhibits include 'living fairy tales' of SK Broadband based on augmented reality (AR) and VR technologies, 'Oksusu Social VR', and AI-based semiconductor process improvement technologies that were jointly developed by SK Telecom and SK Hynix.
SK Telecom President Park Jung-ho said, "We look forward the SK ICT Tech Summit to become a market for exchanges that can create synergies while sharing SK Group`s ICT skills and know-how."
