A consumer complained to Prada, a luxury shoes maker, saying that red color is coming out from its shoes that cost 700,000 won or more whenever they put on even if it is not a rainy day. But the Prada’s answer is ridiculous, saying that it is possible and you should wear colored socks, the SBS reported on Nov. 8.
In September last year, Mr. A, an office worker, received a gift, Prada shoes that the gift giver bought for 720,000 won at a duty-free shop in the city.
Mr. A said, “It's not easy to buy such luxury shoes. I loved the expensive shoes I received as a gift. But the red color is coming out from the shoes and the situation has been getting worse and worse.”
He complained it to the sales office and the office checked the purchase records and authenticity and sent the shoes to the Quality Management Team of Prada Korea headquarters.
This is the answer to A/S from Prada Korea head office. “Red water is a phenomenon that may occur during the fermentation process and no exchange or refund is allowed after one year of warranty."
The office worker said, “You don't buy expensive shoes for wearing it for only a year. I didn't ask for an exchange or a refund, and I expect that if they know the cause, they could repair it, even if it costs much money.”
However, the solution proposed by Prada Korea to Mr. A was even more embarrassing.
“Your feet are sweating. We don't have anything special to do right now. It's better to wear red socks.
When an SBS reporter visited Prada Korea headquarters, Prada said it would clean up its position and let him know, but there is no answer yet, the SBS reported.
